While this adapter is compatible with over 360 different F-mount lenses, it is notably well-suited for use with over 90 AF-S and AF-P type D, E, and G-type lenses, where it completely retains autofocus and auto-exposure capabilities enabling seamless usage of SLR lenses on mirrorless bodies. The PC Micro 85mm f/2.8D is only capable of manual focus and exposure, with exposure metering capability. Manual focus, complete auto-exposure settings, and exposure metering are all supported by AI-P lenses. Manual focus is the standard for Non-CPU AI-, AI-Modified NIKKOR, or Nikon Series E Lenses, although users may enjoy aperture-priority and manual exposure settings, as well as support for all exposure metering techniques except highlight-weighted metering.
